Wearing bright colors and patterns, a huge smile, and often pigtails, you can't miss Karen Brady, aka KJ, when she's out on a run. Positive and encouraging doesn’t even begin to describe her approach to life and all she loves, running, supporting other women, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. She serves as an ambassador for Nuun, BibRave, and Newton Running and is supportive of Ponya as well. In fact, she’s introduced many friends in the local Louisville running community to Ponya Bands with her enthusiasm for the bands.
A later-to-life runner, this 40 year has been running for 10 years now. She was always active, playing softball in her youth, enjoying long walks, and even attempting to play basketball, she confessed “I’m not an outdoorsy person except when it comes to running.”
If you follow runners on Instagram, you’ve likely seen Katie B.’s smiling face as half of 2fabfitchicks. These two running friends chronicle their races and training on their blog and Insta page. They also serve as ambassadors for Honey Stinger, Brooks Running, Zensah, SOS Hydration, MyStryde, and Fré. They only represent brands they believe in and use, and Katie proudly sports her Ponya Bands and shares them to their stories frequently.
Louisville native Tara Jo Thomas embraces and supports everything she loves with her whole being, her husband, her children, UofL, Moms Run This Town, Peloton, the Kentucky Derby Festival races, Thomas Woodworking KY, and Ponya Bands, to name a few.
It takes a special woman to have a Ponya Band named after her, and RaVone Wortham certainly is that. Whether she’s teaching a yoga class, riding her Peloton, or just being active with her family, RaVone is welcoming, encouraging, and endlessly positive. She embodies exactly what Ponya stands for and shines as bright as her namesake Rave On band.
